Privacy Policy

CurbCue (“we,” “us”) helps schools run a faster, calmer pickup line. We believe in collecting as little as possible and using it only to make pickup work. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address and password (passwords are stored securely, hashed).
- Family details you enter: your children’s first/last names and ages, and your vehicle (type, color, make/model). You provide these so staff can identify you at the curb.
- Location: with your permission, your device detects when you arrive at your school’s designated pickup zone (“region monitoring”). We do not track your location throughout the day and we do not store a location history.
- Device push token: if you enable notifications, so the school can alert you about pickup.
How we use information
- To show your family on your school’s pickup board when you arrive, so staff can send your children out.
- To send pickup-related notifications you opt into.
- To operate, secure, and support the service.
How location is used
Location is used only to detect arrival at the small area around your school (a geofence) and, if your school enables it, to estimate your distance while a pickup is active. It is not all-day GPS tracking, it is never sold, and we keep no ongoing location history. You can turn it off at any time in your device settings (pickup alerts will stop working).
Who can see your information
Your family details and arrival status are visible to authorized staff at your school for the purpose of pickup. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers. Data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) on secure servers.
Children's information
Children’s names and ages are entered by a parent or guardian and used solely to identify which children to release at pickup, under the direction of the participating school. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can remove your children, vehicle, or account at any time, or email us to request deletion of your data.
Your choices
- Turn location permission on or off in your device settings.
- Enable or disable push notifications.
- Edit or remove the family and vehicle details you entered.
- Request account and data deletion by contacting us.
